Terran in my opinion are actually one of the easier races to figure out. Learning a good build order for Terran really involves one key skill. You need to be able to shift queue commands from your SCVs. This can be done for any race, but it is particularly important for Terran. To shift queue commands you simply hold down shift, and place multiple buildings from the same (or multiple) SCV. The SCV will then continue to build the buildings one at a time. Now here is where this really gets useful, after you tell the SCV to build a building, keep holding shift, then right click back on minerals. Your SCV will now build for you, then return to the mineral patches after it is completed, set it up and forget.
Queue up ten SCVs as soon as you can, then build a Supply Depot. Try to build the Supply Depot at the top of a ramp, partially blocking the entrance. After this SCV finishes building the Supply Depot, have him build a Barracks hopefully completely blocking off the ramp from entrance. Keep building SCVs this entire time, once the Barracks completes upgrade your Command Center, then continue building SCVs. Send one SCV to scout fairly early on, before your first Barracks completes. Also put up a Refinery, you'll want to start mining gas soon.
Save the money so that as soon as the Barracks completes you have 150 minerals for the ugprade, you want to get the Orbital Command center up and running as soon as possible. Once the Orbital Command completes bring a Mule down onto your minerals. Mules are able to harvest resources quicker than SCVs, so try to keep one going as much as possible. Put up a second Barracks, and use some of your new Vespene to put a Tech Lab on the Barracks. Put up a second Refinery, then a third Barracks. I like to have three Barracks, but many Terran players also like four.
Then start pumping Marines and Marauders out of the Barracks, chain build Supply Depots now as you'll be needing a lot of them. Build a Factory, then when it completes have the same SCV start on a Starport. Build a Reactor Core from the Factory, then when the Starport completes switch the Starport onto the Factory's Reactor Core. This simple technique allows you to build two Medivacs as soon as the Starport completes. Once you have four Medivacs you have a completely killer army. Be sure to put up an Engineering Bay for ground upgrades, you'll also want to upgrade at the Barracks tech lab, all except for Reaper thrusters.
In battle don't forget that Stim Pack increases your ground forces movement speed, as well as attack speed. Combine that with the Medivacs providing heals, and you now have a force you can Stim Pack more then once on. I also like to throw a Tech Lab onto my Factory, and get Siege Tanks. They compliment this force really well and can deal with players camping behind base defense quite well, although Marauders take buildings down nicely too.
