2. Avoid the hitlist like the plague until you are a much more powerful player. Sure, making a bunch of money from killing a player sounds like a rush, but why do you want the money anyway? You want energy! When you are a higher level is when you should take advantage of the hitlist.
3. Use your experience points on energy additions instead of Godfather tokens. You can always get the Godfather points later in the game, so stick to just getting energy for now.
The previous 3 tips should get you off to a great start in Mafia Wars, so get out there and start leveling!
